1 august 2004 - Gotha, Hersdorfstrasse. Tatra 302 waits at the junction with Huttenstrasse for a replacement bus service linking to the Hauptbahnhof whilst the line is closed for track repairs. The destination screen (unusually) shows Line 3, which normally runs just a few special trips a day.

20 may 2005 - Gotha – near Reinhardsbrunn. The Thuringerwaldbahn runs parallel to a DB branch line along this stretch, but the railway service is very sparse – it’s just possible to photograph train and tram together, but you have to be extremely patient (I never managed it).

20 may 2005 - Waltershausen, near Gotha. I didn’t manage to post this photo yesterday. Double ended Deuwag 528 almost looks like a model as it creeps between back gardens near Waltershausen Bahnhof. This part of Line 4 is a short shuttle service, meeting main line trams at the aptly-named Gleisdreieck (literally, ‘triangular junction’ – which it is).

27 september 2006 - Gotha, zajezdnia Waltershauserstrasse. Historic motor tram 56 and matching trailer 82 of 1928/29 are from the original Thuringerwaldbahn fleet, often hauling a baggage van like 101 see here – this also dates from 1928.

20 may 2005 - Gotha - petla Gotha Ost. Terminus of city Line 2. Mannheim 320 was received in such good condition in 1993, they didn’t even bother to repaint it. This tram actually ran in Heidelberg until 1968, before going to Mannheim.

20 may 2005 - Gotha, Bahnhofstrasse. 2005 was the last year of extensive Deuwag operation in Gotha, as ex-Erfurt Tatra cars were arriving in numbers to replace these lovely classic trams. 442 and 320, working the two in-town routes, stand together at the Bahnhof terminus - also now gone and replaced with a sexy new interchange.

8 august 2006 - Waltershausen, pętla przy dworcu. Na terenie tego miasteczka kursuje linia tramwajowa nr 6. Dowozi ona chętnych do dużego trójkąta torowego na skrzyżowaniu z linią 4, gdzie mozna sie przesiąść na tramwaj do Gothy albo do tabarzu. Skomunikowanie oczywiście gwarantowane!

8 august 2006 - Waltershausen. Czwórka to podmiejska linia z Gothy tdo miejscowaści Tabarz. W Walterhausen, na dużym trójkącie można przesiąść się na wahadło kursujące do centrum miasteczka. Kiedyś to także była "czwórka", w czasie mojej wizyty wagon kursował oznaczony cyfrą 6.
