7 june 2012 - Rudersdorf (DE) - Bergstrasse. The metre gauge Schoeneiche –Rudersdorf tramway is one of three small village tramways in Brandenburg, just on the eastern fringes of Berlin. For some years it has led a fairly quiet existence, obtaining secondhand trams from a variety of other German systems and becoming a bit like a working tramway museum. A change of ownership recently has meant that some of the oldest trams have gone, but it still remains an interesting system to visit. This Düwag GT6 came from Mannheim in 2007, having originally been part of the Heidelberg fleet. Like all Schoeneiche trams, it is kept in sparkling condition.

RNV Mannheim is just a joint subsidiary of the 5 local tram operators Mannheim/Ludwigshafen/Heidelberg/OEG/RHB overseeing the day-to-day running, the tram always ran in Heidelberg only and the assets never changed hand (they just rebranded the trams as RNV). Complicated story.

RNV Mannheim is just a subsidiary of the 5 local tram operators. All the assets remain with each company, so the trams never left Heidelberg (think of the RNV as a group livery)
