2 april 2011 - Oradea (RO) – Sintesa. This is a long, westerly industrial extension of the lines from Pod CFR, where many trams terminate. From here, Tatra T4 #44, specially converted to double-ended operation, has always run a solo shuttle service to Sintesa. On this visit, however, we found to our surprise that #44 was sitting in the depot and that nearly every Pod CFR-bound car was running through to Sintesa, giving a tram every couple of minutes. As the extension serves just a long line of factory premises, these trams largely ran empty. Just why this arrangement has changed was a mystery to us.
